THE INFO ON YOURS TRULY
My average reply/post length ranges from about 100 to 600 words, sometimes more, depending on what's going on. It varies. A timeskip or transition post calls for more exposition than a quick exchange of dialogue or a fight scene. Different situations require different amounts of description. Something around 1000 is my standard introduction, but that varies too.
In case you're looking for someone close to yourself in age: I'm 23.
I'll play as men, women, genderless characters, cis or trans, whatever. Anything and everything. It's all cool.
When starting a new roleplay, most of the time, I'll make a new character specifically tailored for that story unless I've used a very similar premise before.
Since I use gmail (which is GREAT for rp), I like to keep separate conversations for the ooc exchanges and the roleplay itself.
I like learning about our characters more through the course of the roleplay as events unfold rather than through descriptions you give to me ooc. I also don't like planning too far ahead (requiring us to make a bunch of assumptions about how things would pan out before they happen) or backtracking/prewriting intertwined backstories for our characters (which would take a lot of in-depth collaboration on our part in order to hit my threshold for suspension of disbelief). That's why it's easier for me to just play characters who are strangers to yours and make sure we have a basic plot idea to keep them interacting. My favorite thing to do is just throw two characters in a situation together, get the ball rolling, and just let them go back and forth with each other, whether that means resolving some complex turmoil.... or just banter and inside jokes.
Dunno if that gave you much insight into my personal style, but this should have at least given you a glimpse into how I write ooc. I like to know a little about a person and how they talk before I role play with them, so this page is for folks who like that too.
I hope I didn't come off as anything awful.
Now I'm feeling self-conscious.
